Board of Trustees
Down The Block's board members are all volunteers and are not compensated. This helps ensure almost 100% of donations go towards the mission.
Yair Naveh - President
Yair left the big city lights of NYC and moved with his wife and 3 children to Short Hills in 2014. The goal was to move to a place with a strong community and build roots along side those who want the best for everyone.
Yair's wife Katherine grew up in Short Hills attending Millburn High School where her two younger siblings attended as well.. Her mother founded and still to this day runs the after school care program (SAM). Their 3 children currently attend Millburn Middle and High Schools and are active members of the TBJ synagogue.
In his limited spare time, Yair enjoys coaching his son's youth baseball team, coaching his daughter in soccer and playing a round of golf with his oldest.
Yair's hope in being part of Down The Block is to not only give back to the community, but to ensure everyone knows they are truly part of and supported by their community family.

Priyanka Pandey - PR Chair
We moved to Short Hills in 2012 and we are proud to call this our home. Our two children started their Pre-K at HGECC and then moved into the Millburn township schools. Over the years my husband and I have volunteered at school and at corporate events. I've especially enjoyed hosting and running employee support group events in the corporate world, building many partnerships that extend beyond the office.
Hurricane Ida and the devastation it left behind, shook us. My husband and I both joined food drives to help the most affected. Down the Block appeals to me the most because it fosters support for neighbourhoods. I'm proud to be associated with this esteemed organisation.
Grant Thorson
Grant and his family relocated to Millburn in 2018 after stints in Manhattan, Hoboken and Los Angeles. As parents of two elementary aged children, Millburn’s warm community, proximity to Manhattan, and world-class school system attracted his family to the area that they are now proud to call home.
Grant has over 15 years of experience in corporate strategy and management consulting and is the founder of his own consulting firm, focused on helping clients achieve their growth and profitability goals. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School.
